Fiddles at the Fastnet
In association with Cape Clear Ferries
After the spectacular success of last year's event, we are delighted to present our second musical trip around the Fastnet Rock as part of this year's festival.
The iconic Fastnet Rock Lighthouse, the tallest and widest Rock Lighthouse ever constructed in Ireland and the UK, is known as Ireland’s Teardrop, as it was the last structure seen by Irish emigrants aboard ships travelling to the United States.
Leaving Baltimore on the beautiful Carrag Aonair, you'll enjoy the spectuclar sights and sounds of Roaringwater Bay, and then venture further out into the wild Atlantic to round the Fastnet Rock Lighthouse, where travellers can often expect to see pods of whales, dolphins and other marine life.
The boat circumnavigates the rock at close quarters, giving superb views and excellent photo opportunities, and all whilst listening to some groovy tunes by some of our amazing Fiddle Fair artists.
