FiddleFair 2010 line up almost there

Hey everyone in Fiddle Fair land - I hope the year is treating you well.
The good news is that the Fiddle Fair is taking place in Baltimore from 6th to 9th of May and tickets will be going on sale very soon.
We are quite late this year in finalising the festival because the economic situation in Ireland meant that funding for the Arts was going to be cut and decisions which are normally made in October were not able to be made until late January.
Unfortunately this meant that we were unable to put together the line-up until we knew what the outcome would be.
Thanks to our friends in the Arts Council of Ireland, our cut hasn't been too bad and we will once again present a top class very exciting line-up of musicians from near and far over the 4 days in beautiful Baltimore.
Highlights include the one and only Kevin Burke, The Alan Kelly Quartet featuring Tola Custy, legendary Clare fiddler Tony Linnane with Lúnasa's Kevin Crawford, Irelands finest harpist Laoise Kelly with the beautiful fiddler Michelle O'Brien, the three Glackin brothers Paddy, Kevin and Seamus and Irelands best 'Old Time' group I Draw Slow.
Some amazing fiddlers from Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Andrea Beaton and Troy Macgillivray , Una Palliser and The Balkan Bears from Slovenia.
As usual there'll be a selection of top class workshops and numerous sessions going on all weekend
I'm really excited by this line-up and it promises to be as good if not better than last years tremendous Fiddle Fair.
Tickets will be going on sale on St Patrick's Day (March 17th) and the full programme will be up on this page in the next few days
Hope to see you in May
All the best
Declan
