The Fiddle Fair is over.

I'm finally recovered from reentry so I can start the proper update of this thing but Declan is MIA, last seen in the Harbour Hotel around 8 a.m. 14 May with Derek Hickey, Aoife Granville, the A and A Troubadours, and a camera thief. Once he's found, a Fiddle Fair wrap will appear.

You know about the photos, right?

Also I have a grand idea to make a photo book of The History of the Fiddle Fair and I need your help. If you have any photos, anecdotes, or stories from any year, please email michael@fiddlefair.com for submission guidelines. You'll receive photo credit and entry into The Friends Of the Fiddle Fair (FOFF), which will roll out over the next few months.

Dates for Fiddle Fair '08 are 8 -11 May, so make plans now to join us then for the 17th Fiddle Fair in the lovely village of Baltimore, Ireland.

A truly remarkable Fiddle Fair comes to a close today and anyone who was at the Afel Bocoum and Alkibar show last night knows what we mean.

The photo and audio updates have been a bit tougher to produce this year, but they will come together. We'll send out an email announcement as soon as they are ready.

Sorry folks were all a bit wrecked here at www.fiddlefair.com and mad busy, but rest assured an update is coming for an account of the truly special opening night with Bruce Molsky, and Cathal Hayden, Mairtin O'Connor and Seamie O'Dowd. We'll post words, photos, and audio as soon as humanly possible.

Also please note a time change. Sunday's 3 p.m. show with Mick Flannery, and Derek Hickey, Dermot Byrne, and Michael McGoldrick is now starting at 4 p.m.
